A 24-year-old man was stabbed during an incident at the Dollar General Store in Bridgeport, Bridgeport Police said.
The incident took place around 7:15 p.m., Tuesday, April 9, at the store located at 577 Fairfield Ave., said Capt. Brian Fitzgerald.
The victim was stabbed in the abdomen during this incident. He was treated at St. Vincent’s Medical Center where he underwent surgery, Fitzgerald said.
"We believe the victim is expected to survive," he added.
Fitzgerald did not offer further information.
